Pet Safety
For many survivors, pets are beloved members of the family. The thought of leaving them behind can make it even harder to leave an unsafe situation.
Hotline Outer Banks works with trusted community partners to help ensure your pets are safe while you focus on your own safety and healing. If you need emergency shelter, we can coordinate temporary care for your household pets through partnerships with the Coastal Humane Society, Ocean Sands K-9 Resort, and a local veterinary clinic.
Our goal is to remove barriers to safety. When you come to us for shelter and support, we will work with you to make sure your pets are protected and cared for.
